Design & Installation
Dedicated home theaters are great for relaxing, entertaining, and bringing the whole family together. With the right planning, investing in a custom home theater is a decision you will enjoy for years to come.
At Audio Advice, we’ve been designing and installing high-performance home theaters for our customers in Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina and surrounding areas for decades. In fact, we’ve delivered more custom theaters than anyone in the Southeast.
In short, we’ve built a reputation as one of a handful of elite providers in the US capable of delivering these types of rooms and have been chosen by customers as far away as Hawaii, Colorado, Chicago, and Florida.
In order to help you create the perfect home theater for your family, our expert designers will walk you through our simple, 3-D Process.
Our first step is to learn about you, your family, and your vision for the theater. Once we have an idea of what you may like, we’ll walk you through one of our world-class showrooms so that you can experience some of the finer details of our custom home theaters for yourself.
In this stage, we’ll work together to develop a plan and timeline for your project. This includes choosing the ideal screen size for the room, equipment, acoustics and soundproofing, architectural detail, and furniture.
Our project manager will work with our expert installers, as well as interior designers and any other contractors necessary to build, install, and calibrate your dream theater.
Room Layout and Design
While it can be enticing to jump straight into the equipment, the room is what determines your ideal screen size, speaker placement, acoustic treatments, and seating configuration. Having clear sight lines is extremely important, especially if you are considering having multiple rows of seating. This requires planning and typically includes the construction of risers to create a stadium seating effect. The layout of a home theater is both a science and an art, and our experienced designers will help develop a unique plan for your room that maximizes your space and budget. If you’re looking to include some architectural detail or interior design elements in the room, understanding the full picture will help make your home theater an escape that you and your family will enjoy for years to come.

Choosing Your Equipment & Furniture
Once we understand the layout of the room, our team will work with you to choose all of the equipment and furniture necessary to bring your movies, shows, and sports to life. Our team has decades of experience creating systems that work well together, no matter the price point.
A typical home theater includes:

Installation and Calibration
If you take two identical groups of ingredients and give one set to a world-class chef and another to your average person on the street, of course, you would expect different results. The same concept applies to what we do. Choosing your equipment is only a part of the equation. If you’re investing in a dedicated home theater room and spending the money on good equipment, you want to get the most out of everything you have.
Luckily, Audio Advice has some of the best and more professional installers and technicians in the country. We hold our work to a standard that puts us at the top of the industry. Properly installing and calibrating your system makes all of the difference between a room full of nice equipment and a true home theater experience.
When you make an investment in your home like a custom theater, it is important that the company who designed and installed your theater will be available to answer any questions you may have, to fix any issues that may arise, to service your equipment if necessary, and to help you upgrade when the time comes.
