Overview

Acryl it E is made from acrylic with satinised surface and brings a more liquid sound that leaves no space for platter resonances. The change is easily made: just exchange your metal platter for Acryl it E. Unlike many platters, where you will need to place a felt met between record and platter to damp metal resonance, you can put your record directly on the acrylic surface, with nothing in-between. Acryl it E is able to improve overall performance significantly!

Worthwhile upgrade

The Acryl It E platter is a worthwhile upgrade to my Pro Ject Essential III turntable. Since I've installed it, I've noticed that the soundstage on my records is slightly more focused and detailed, and a little wider as well. Did I talk myself into hearing these differences to justify this somewhat expensive upgrade? I don't know. My hearing isn't what it used to be, but I'm enjoying my LPs a little more, and that's what counts. It also improves the looks of my turntable when I'm not listening to it. It cuts down on the static as well, and I no longer need to use a turntable mat. All in all, if I had it to do over, I probably would have bought a higher end turntable with an acrylic platter from the get-go, but I definitely don't regret this purchase. For reference, I'm running a modest system with a Pioneer Elite receiver and Elac B6.2 speakers with two Elac subwoofers and an Elac center channel, but all my vinyl listening is done in pure direct mode, and to these old ears, it sounds great. If you've got an Essential or Elemental turntable, I recommend this platter. The buying process was smooth and painless, with good communication and fast shipping. I will definitely purchase from Audio Advice in the future.
