Overview

A premium dual mono streaming amplifier delivers 300 Watts per channel via Hypex NCOREx Class D modules and an ESS Sabre DAC. Featuring a built in StreamMagic platform, HDMI eARC, and multiroom support, it provides highly versatile audio visual solutions for an advanced sound system setup.

The Cambridge Audio Evo 300 streaming amplifier is built for home audio systems that need strong performance and flexibility. It is tuned in London at the Melomania headquarters and brings together amplification, digital conversion, and source control in one aluminum enclosure. Inside, Hypex NCOREx Class D modules provide three hundred Watts per channel into eight Ohms. This gives the amplifier enough power to handle speakers that need more current or are used in larger rooms.

A dual mono layout keeps the left and right channels separate, which helps with stereo imaging and detail. The balanced pre amplifier stage is designed to lower noise, so quieter sounds and dynamic shifts are easier to hear. An ESS Saber ES9038Q2M digital-to-analog converter processes digital audio up to 32-bit/768 kHz pulse-code modulation and DSD512 without resampling. For streaming, the fourth generation StreamMagic platform connects over Wi Fi or Ethernet and supports services like Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Amazon Music, Deezer, Qobuz Connect, UPnP, and Internet Radio. Wireless playback includes Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX HD, AirPlay 2, and Google Cast. The amplifier also works with Google Home, Apple AirPlay, and Roon for multiroom audio.

Wired connections cover most needs. There is an HDMI eARC port for connecting to a television, a built in moving magnet phono stage for turntables, line level RCA, and balanced XLR inputs. Digital inputs include USB Audio, USB Media, optical TOSLINK, coaxial, and a dedicated Evo CD input. Outputs include dual speaker binding posts for two speaker zones, a front panel six point three millimeter headphone jack, and a subwoofer output with its own level, crossover, and high pass filter controls. The front panel has a seven point eight inch color screen that shows album artwork or virtual VU meters. Interchangeable side panels let the amplifier fit different room styles.
