Great Room Correction and Control App
The control app for the Varros subwoofers gives you a very high level of on-the-fly adjustments which is fantastic for tuning from your listening position. With ELAC being the first company to offer subwoofer room correction, their new version works extremely well and is just two quick steps.
Unique Hexagon Driver
ELAC's Hexagon bass driver allows the woofer to act more like a piston than anything else they have measured. The cone is dual-treated paper sandwiched with aluminum for the best of both types of materials. This ensures very fast and accurate deep bass that blends well with your main speakers.

Custom Driver Design
Treated paper cone with a large 2.0” voice coil for increased power handling and thermal management, resulting in higher output SPL. These new high-excursion woofers utilize a lightweight paper cone that has been treated to enhance stiffness and reduce any effects caused by temperature or humidity changes. All three Premium Series subwoofers feature a large 2” voice coil for increased power handling and thermal management, resulting in higher output SPL.
Custom Designed BASH Amplifier
All seven models utilize BASH technology. The discrete implementation of these tracking amplifiers allows for maximum voltage swing, providing all the power that is needed and additional dynamic power throughout the entire operating range of the woofers.
Auto EQ and Advanced App Control
Placement of a subwoofer can be challenging. This is because typically they are placed in corners or hidden next to couches causing reflection, peaks or valleys. The principle of ELAC’s Auto EQ, is to remove the effect of the room by making a near-field measurement and comparing it to a far-field (listening position) measurement. This allows a greater degree of freedom for placing the subwoofer where it meets all requirements. As the pioneer of APP-controlled subwoofers, all seven Varro subwoofers include our 3rd generation Sub Control 3.0 App with Auto EQ room correction and easy setup of multiple subwoofers.
