Its been a fun summer here at Audio Advice helping many clients rock their back yard with the new Sonance Landscape speaker system. The process usually goes something like this: -A lucky back yard gets on our list for an installation -Our team of pros performs the installation. -The lead installer calls our consultant. -He says- “You have to come hear this thing – it rocks!” -Later that evening we get a thank-you call from the happy owner of the newly rocking back yard!
As summer winds down into fall, we still have lots of time left to enjoy some tunes in the great outdoors. The Sonance system lets you choose from several different sized subwoofers that are usually buried in the ground. Then we pick out the satellite speakers – they look identical to landscape lights. There are various sizes of these, with the amount you need depending on the area you want to cover with sound. Most of the systems also arrive with a custom amp that is perfectly configured for the exact system we are installing. Our guys come in and hide all the wires: all you see are what look like landscape lights. Then the fun begins! Your outdoor space is blanketed with music. By using lots of landscape speakers, we are able to cover the area and give you equal volume everywhere. No more standing by one pair of rock speakers that are really loud at their location, but that you can barely hear across the yard.
Most of these systems run from around $7000-$10,000 – you just have to hear one to believe it. There is a basic system for $2500 that provides great background level music. If you want it to really rock, though, the bigger ones are far more capable. We can even set up a demo so you can hear what it sounds like in your own space, if you like!
