Every summer Audio Advice brings some of our favorite vendors together for two nights so you can enjoy time with people who shape this fun home techology industry. This year we do it again with Digital Living in Raleigh on Wednesday July 22, and Charlotte on Thursday, July 23 (5 to 9 each evening). We plan lots of fun and want to give you a glimpse below of what to expect.

There will be food, wine and other refreshments from Bella Monica in Raleigh and Chef Charles in Charlotte for you to enjoy between the sessions. Thanks to Sonos, we also have two Connect wireless music players ($349 value each) to give away at each location! (You must attend Digital Living to register for the prize drawings.)

Help us plan by sending an RSVP (if you’re attending) to [email protected] with your name, the location where you will be attending, and the number in your party.

AudioQuest will have an assortment of new toys including the much anticipated Nighthawk headphones.  I heard these recently and they are super comfortable with very smooth, rich sound.  AudioQuest is also going to turn some heads with their new power conditioning products they have been working on for almost three years.

Bowers & Wilkins / B&W, Classé, and Rotel will go over the latest Classé Sigma products. These have become a real hit at Audio Advice for their super high performance sound at only mid performance pricing. We’ll also have some new pieces from Rotel: a preamp and power amp that will set a new budget price bar. If you want the new amp though, you’ll need to bring a dolly. The new 300 watt power amp weighs in at almost 100 lbs. and really packs a wallop at its $3000 price point.

Control4 has completely redone their home control app and they will be showing off how easy it is for the end user to make all kinds of adjustments to their system without the need of any very special programming. I’ve been playing around with this myself and I think it’s one of the most flexible systems I have ever seen for providing the ability to get creative with your home automation system.

One room you will not want to miss will be the Devialet room. Devialet is a newcomer on the audio scene but backed by big European money. At Digital Living you’ll have a chance to be one of the first people in the US to hear the new Devialet Phantom speaker. The Phantom is a self powered all-in-one speaker system designed for the new music lover who wants things simple and elegant.  Although the Phantom is quite small, it’s capable of tremendous bass output that will astound you. It’s also simple to set up and able to easily stream right from your smart phone or tablet via Bluetooth. The Phantom is a great solution for someone starting out who wants high quality sound or a great way to get good sounding music into an additional room. We’ll have a demo of the Phantom and be talking about the really cool Devialet integrated amps with SAM at both locations.

Last year we showed you the newest Lutron battery powered shades. This year there are even more options.  With newer, less expensive battery powered shades, Audio Advice clients are asking us to put shading into a lot of installations. Come see how these new Lutron styles can improve your home.

As you may know, I just love digital technology when applied to acoustics for the creation of better sound. Sonance is launching a new line of amps with lots of technology that will allow us to make your speakers sound better. Come learn about this and their incredible outdoor speakers.

Sonos and Tidal will be presenting together. Tidal is my favorite streaming service.  Learn how you can get the most out of Tidal with the easy to use Sonos products.

Sony will be bringing in their super cool short throw 4K projector which is designed for placement right against the wall. You really have to see how cool this is! They will also be going over all the new technology that is provided in their 2015 4K sets.

Once again, our vendors are going to be sharing some of the coolest and best technology anywhere.

Food, wine and other refreshments from Bella Monica in Raleigh and Chef Charles in Charlotte will be available for you to enjoy between sessions!

Again, help us plan by sending an RSVP (if you’re attending) to [email protected] with your name, the location where you will be attending, and the number in your party.
