Santa Leon went out and asked our sales elves what their favorite stocking stuffers are for this holiday season. They sent a lot of great ideas, so we’re featuring the top Audio Advice holiday gift ideas in this blog.

Nearly everyone’s top choice was Grado headphones. Grado has been making wonderful headphones for ages. Our two best selling Grado models are the SR60 ($78.50) and the SR80 ($109). These rest on your ear, are very comfortable, can be driven by most portable devices, and consistently get very high ratings in almost every publication for audio enthusiasts. They really sound amazing for the money.

If you’ve been thinking of checking out the world of computer audio, we’ve got a couple of great choices to get started with. The Musical Fidelity VDAC was recommended by several elves as a great starting point. At only $299, you just need to connect your computer via USB to one side, plug the other side into your audio system and you’ve made a huge upgrade in the audio performance of your computer music. Computer audio is the wave of the future and this little box is not only reasonably priced, but actually does fit into a stocking!

The Peachtree Audio series of products also come highly recommended. These are small, integrated amps with built in USB DACs. All you need here is a computer audio source and a pair of speakers. Their newly introduced Music Box at $699 is our top choice. This little guy sports an iPod dock, a great USB DAC, video out for your iPod, and a pedal to the metal audiophile grade tube based audio section. It can be either an addition to your audio system or a great desktop computer audio system.

Another product bringing you outstanding music from your iPod is the new B&W Mini Zeppelin. This is an elegant table top iPod dock delivering great sound through B&W technology. It’s only $399 and is another great gift.

B&W has also entered the world of computer speakers. The B&W MM1 makes all other computer speakers sound broken. Not only will they look great sitting beside your high tech monitor, they sound fantastic!  You won’t believe the deep bass they get without a subwoofer. The MM1s are $499 per pair.

Santa’s favorite new toy, the Sonos system, rounds out my workshop’s top choices. Sonos is a system to connect your network and the world of streaming music to your audio system. For as little as $349 you can pull your iTunes music, Pandora, and thousands of internet radio stations into your audio system or whole house music system.  You control it with your iPad or iPhone, and it even has digital out to directly connect to your surround sound receiver or DAC. It’s so popular, some of the Peachtree units have a slot in the back where you can drop it right in.
