James' basic landscape package has eight speakers, and one subwoofer buried in the ground! The sound you get from these is amazing. The small satellites can be discretely placed to provide the best coverage, while the below ground subwoofer gives you incredible outdoor bass! Outdoor video continues to gain in popularity. With LCD TV prices dropping under $1500 for a good-sized picture, many people are putting these on covered porches. (The plan is to replace the LCD in a few years if the weather gets to it.) LCDs have an operating temperature range from about 4 degrees to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, so for our region of the country they are great.
The new Pantel series of LCD TVs represent the ultimate in outdoor television. These TVs are completely weather proof. Yes, rain can pour down on the set and has no effect. The Pantels are about twice as bright as regular LCD sets, so you get a pretty good picture even in sunlight.
