Sonos SUB Lands at Audio Advice

` Posted on: 07-19-2012 Posted in: Blog

It’s been almost a year since we had a new toy from our favorite music company, Sonos.  The last piece was the PLAY:3, which was actually introduced to North Carolina at our 2011 Digital Media event.  The newest addition takes the sound of a Sonos system to a whole new level!  The Sonos SUB is here.

The Sonos Subwoofer

The new Sonos SUB

Weighing in at almost 40 lbs, you can tell right from the get go, this is no toy, but a serious sub-woofer.  Dual drivers firing into each other are used to produce very deep, rich bass, but also cancel out any cabinet vibrations.  The great industrial design allows it to fit into any number of environments, but if you want to hide it, you have a couple of options.  You can put it on the side and slide it under a piece of furniture, or in the upright position, it can fit right against a wall behind a piece of furniture.

In the set up menu, you have some options for bass output level to better tune it to your room.  Once you’ve done that, you can now really feel your music!  We have these in stock at Audio Advice.  Its quite a value at $699.  The SUB is designed to work with the PLAY:3, PLAY:5, or CONNECT:AMP (formerly ZP120).  It will not work with the CONNECT (formerly ZP90).

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so a video must be worth several million.  The video below will give you a glimpse behind the scenes of how the Sonos SUB was conceived and designed.  We hope you enjoy learning more.
